The Ciutadans candidate for the December 21 elections, Inés Arrimadas, has asked the Socialists leader Miquel Iceta this Sunday to “stop putting a spanner in the works and allow Catalonia to start a new stage.”

“We have the moral obligation to end the process that has done so much damage and also to set aside the differences between the parties that want to continue in Spain and Europe,” Arrimades said. “That’s why I say to Iceta that he has to stop putting a spanner in the works, and allow to stop this process so that a new period of coexistence and union in Catalonia is begins,” she added, taking advantage of the presentation of her party’s election slogan on Sunday.

The slogan reads: “We will vote,” with an image of Arrimadas holding a heart with the Catalan, Spanish and European flags.

She called on people to vote en masse in the December 21 election. “On December 21, people must go out en masse,” she said, “to vote put an end to this madness, and stop wasting time, opportunities, and friendships.”
