Counting is underway in the Spanish election following the close of the polls. The Socialists are expected to win more seats than any other Spanish party, followed by the conservative People's Party, with the far-right Vox, who look set to double their previous standing, in third.

In Catalonia, Esquerra Republicana are predicted to be the biggest winners of the night, though they could lose seats compared to their performance in the last general election in April. The Catalan Socialist Party looks set to be the second most-voted party, while pro-independence Junts per Catalunya are placing third.

Of the seats available in Catalonia, pro-independence parties are on course to win about half of the seats available.
