400 protest in front of the Venezuelan consulate to protest against US attack
Moments of tension among supporters and opponents of the military operation

Around 400 people, according to local police, gathered on Saturday evening in front of the Venezuelan Consulate in Barcelona to protest against the US attack on the Latin American country.
The US military operation in Venezuela saw plumes of smoke and fire in the capital city of Caracas and culminated in the capture of the country's president, Nicolàs Maduro, on Saturday.
The protest, organized by the Bolivarian Assembly of Catalonia, and supported by Arran, the Students' Union of the Catalan Countries, and the far-left pro-independence group CUP, among others, railed against the US government and "Yankee imperialism."
They chanted against the US president and the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, calling them criminals and terrorists.
The gathering saw some moments of tension between groups in favor of the military intervention and those against it.
Several police agents in anti-riot gear were deployed, who, along with the police line, prevented tensions from escalating.
The moments of tension were repeated periodically during the nearly two hours that the demonstration lasted.
