Moving to Barcelona can be a confusing and sometimes overwhelming experience. That's why the Catalan capital launched a new support service in 2021, the Barcelona International Welcome Desk, with the aim of helping investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, highly-skilled individuals and university students settle in the city.

Located in Barcelona's Poblenou district, the initiative is a public-private collaboration between the city council, the Spanish government's delegation in Catalonia, the Barcelona Global association, and the 22@ Tech network, and is aimed at assisting foreign talent upon their arrival in the city.

These are the activities you will find at the Barcelona International Welcome this January.

New to Barcelona? First steps in the city - January 16

In this online session to welcome newcomers to the city, you will learn the most important steps to take to get settled in Barcelona, get advice on practical matters of daily life, and discover the services and opportunities that the city offers on both a personal and professional level.

Clear your doubts about starting your new life project in Barcelona and connect with other people from the international community in this online event on January 16.

The event is free, sign up here to take part.

Maximize the profitability of your investments in 2024 - January 25

Want to learn the keys to the 2024 financial outlook? Would you like an expert opinion to help you plan your financial decisions?

Rising inflation and interest rates, as well as the international geopolitical situation with the conflicts in Palestine and Ukraine, have caused concern and uncertainty in the financial markets.

In this session, Juan Carlos García, Director of Asset Allocation at Banc Sabadell, will present the investment outlook for 2024 and provide expert advice on personal savings and investment opportunities, taking into account different risk profiles.

The event is free and in-person, but registration here is required.
