Partial operations return to eight Rodalies commuter rail lines
Chaos continues across Catalonia's train stations after Monday's blackout

Catalonia's Rodalies commuter train network partially restored services on the R1, R2, R2 North, R2 South, R3, R4, R11, and R16 lines on Tuesday by 4:15 pm.
The other lines, such as R7 and R8, remain suspended until further notice.
Renfe had halted all services on Tuesday morning due to the "network's voltage instability," which officials said made it impossible to guarantee safe operations.
That message came a few minutes after a previous statement saying that all services would resume at 60% capacity.
Rodalies' director, Antonio Carmona, said that, after initial journeys, authorities confirmed that they could not offer a "secure" service.
Rodalies
As of 4.15pm, the R1 is running a minimum service from Hospitalet to Maçanet-Massanes.
On the R2, R2 South and R2 North there are trains running on the entire line, with delays.

The R3 works between Hospitalet and Ripoll with delays, but there are no trains between Puigcerdà and Ripoll.
On the R4 there are also minimal services and delays, and it only serves the stations between Hospitalet and Manresa.
The R11 connecting Barcelona with Portbou via Girona is also in service.
Trains have also been restored on the R16 with a first train running from Barcelona's Estació de França (4.15pm) to Tortosa (7.05pm).
High-speed trains between Figueres, Barcelona, and Madrid are operating with delays.
Bus and metro
The blackout and the temporary halt of metro services in Barcelona prompted in an increase of bus passengers in the city, reaching its all-time high of 1.25 million travelers until midnight.
Service was not interrupted at all and there were around 900 vehicles working across the network, as TMB, Barcelona's Metropolitan Transports organization, reported on Tuesday.
On the other side, the metro registered 631,000 travelers, far from the expected 1.5 million for a usual Monday. Metro was completely suspended during the first hours of the power outage and slowly recovered its service.

Chaos and uncertainty
People are experiencing chaos and uncertainty at Barcelona's Sants train station due to Monday's power outage. After the events, Sants is full of people who were unable to travel on Monday, arrived early this morning, or were forced to spend the night at the station.
High-speed trains are not running normally and are experiencing long waiting lines to access these trains in particular.
