Hundreds of fans – many of them teenagers – blocked traffic in Plaça Catalunya on Wednesday evening after news spread that a famous TikToker was visiting a nearby fast food restaurant.

Dominican influencer Don Pollo announced on TikTok that he would be at a fried chicken chain on Ronda Universitat, just next to Plaça Catalunya, at 7pm.

By 5pm, crowds of young fans were already gathering, and the scene erupted in excitement when he arrived in a branded van, flanked by bodyguards. The crowd quickly grew large enough to bring traffic to a standstill in the center of Barcelona.

Police ultimately had to escort the influencer away in order to disperse the crowd and reopen traffic on Ronda Universitat.
