Snow has fallen overnight in parts of the Pyrenees mountains, in nothern Catalonia.
The snow has forced drivers to use chains on car wheels on five roads on Friday morning, according to information from the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT).
The affected roads are the C-28 in Port de la Bonaigua, the C-142b in Pla de Beret, the L-500/L-501 in Vall de Boí, the L-501 in Alins and the L-504 in Lladorre.
In addition, there is a restriction on articulated vehicles on the N-23 in Vilaller-Vielha e Mijaran.
Snow has fallen especially in the northern end of the mountain range, according to the Meteorological Service of Catalonia (Meteocat).
At the highest ground, the snowfall has been accompanied by strong wind gusts of around 50-60 km/h and temperature values of -10°C, and in some places even lower.
In the municipalities of Ger and Bolvir, as well as Puigcerdà, there were around 5 centimeters of snowfall.
Some went to the small lake in Puigcerdà to take pictures, while in the Seu d'Urgell, it was more of an anecdote, as there was not a lot of snow.
