Cirque du Soleil brings steampunk-inspired show to Barcelona next fall
Canadian circus company will close out their Spain tour in the Catalan capital

Cirque du Soleil will raise the big top in Barcelona next September for their show KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities. It will be the last stop on the show's Spanish tour, which will first visit Sevilla, Bilbao, Málaga, and Alicante.
Performed by a cast of fifty artists, KURIOS tells the story of a scientist whose mechanical world is turned upside down by otherworldly characters. The show first premiered in Montreal in 2014, and will be making its debut in Spain next year after over 3,000 performances in 40 cities.
Opening September 3, this stop on the KURIOS tour will mark Cirque du Soleil's tenth production in Barcelona. The contemporary circus company was founded in 1984 and is known for theatrical performances that combine acrobatics, storytelling, and live music.
General ticket sales for KURIOS in Barcelona open on November 11. Performances will play under Cirque du Soleil's emblematic cirucs tent in the Cultural District of L'Hospital de Llobregat.
