Bunyols de Quaresma: puffy and sweet Catalan desserts to eat during Lent

Catalonia has a lot of culinary traditions surrounding the Easter period. One of those is Bunyols de Quaresma or bunyols de vent, meaning ‘wind’ donuts. They come in the shape of balls filled with air and usually topped with sugar.
