London, New York, Paris, and Rome are some of many non-stop destinations from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat Airport

Passengers on flight YB3494 (random number) from Barcelona to … (your desired destination), please go to gate B37.
There is a possibility that your desired destination is one of the 218 direct flights from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat Airport. The Catalan airport has over 200 non-stop routes to almost all continents: Europe, Africa, Asia, and Americas.
Oceania is a challenging nonstop route from Barcelona, but several one-stop flights are available to reach the other side of the world.
However, the most accessible route from the Catalan airport in 2024 was Palma de Mallorca, Spain, with 2,325,438 passengers, followed by Madrid Barajas with 2,038,832. Rome's Fiumicino airport closed the podium with 1,706,862 passengers last year.
Amsterdam's Schiphol airport and London Gatwick follow with 1,561,664 and 1,354,210 travelers, respectively.

However, there are other less-typical destinations, such as Armenia's Yerevan. Around 17,000 people traveled to the South Caucasus region last year, far from Mallorca's figures. Or even the 16,329 travelers to (and from) Rumania's Iasi airport.
But if you plan to enjoy a destination with fewer visitors, travelers must head to Terminal 2 of the Catalan airport and fly Atlantic Airways.
The destination: Vágar Airport in the Faroe Islands.
Last year, the Faroese national airline flew over 3,000 passengers from and to Barcelona to the North Atlantic archipelago.
Long-haul flights
Barcelona is the second European airport in terms of origin-destination flights in Europe, just behind London Heathrow, according to data shared by Barcelona's Commerce Guild.
However, the airport also offers several long-haul routes, some of them exceeding 13 hours, such as Level's Santiago de Chile, which is a seasonal route. Or even Singapore, with its almost 11,000 kilometers distance between the Catalan capital and the international airport in the Southeast Asian country.
While Level flew over 85,000 passengers between the South American city and Barcelona, there were around 59,000 travelers flying to Singapore's Changi airport.
South Korea's Seoul is the third-longest flight from Barcelona, with around 10,600 kilometers.
