Around 60% of the available tickets for New Year's Eve parties have already been sold across Catalonia.

This is according to one of the main local nightlife associations, Fecasarm, who believes this trend is homogeneous in the country.

Talking to the Catalan News Agency (ACN), the secretary general of the entity, Joaquim Boadas, said "people has got used to buy tickets online after the pandemic, and this has prompted a bigger share of early bird tickets sold."

He also explained that they have noticed "a drop in the organization of illegal parties," although he called on the Catalan police, Mossos d'Esquadra, to work to make sure all events have permit and comply with the safety regulations.

According to him, pubs and clubs will have "a mean occupancy rate of 90%" on December 31.

Indeed, he thinks "early bird tickets for the most famous venues will have been sold out by December 28 or 29."

Boadas recommends buying tickets in advance, in order to avoid disappointments outside the venues and potential public order issues.

Fecasarm reckons that pubs and clubs in county capitals will be the most attended,  but also all clubs along the coast. "They have not opened since summer, and New Year's Eve is and oasis in the middle of the long journey through winter, when they hardly have activity," said Boadas. "The sector has no more strong nights until Carnival," he added.

The average price for a club entry on December 31 will be €25 with a drink, but tickets will range from €15 to €100, with VIP tables ranging from €300 to €20,000.
