Around 115,000 people gathered on Maria Cristina Avenue on New Year's Eve to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026, according to the city council.

The New Year's celebration at the foot of Montjuïc near Plaça Espanya featured a spectacular display of fireworks, music, and drones, with music by Marc Parrot.

Produced by French production company Groupe F, the performance was divided into four segments inspired by the classical elements: air, water, earth, and fire.

For the first time in several years, the Montjuïc Magic Fountain flowed again on New Year’s Eve, following a hiatus due to drought.

The fountain's choreography was integrated into the visual narrative, interacting with drones, music, and lighting.
