Water World inaugurates unique attraction in Europe, foreseeing more than 225k visitors
Water park expects to call the attention from Barcelona visitors

Water World inaugurates Tornado King, a new unparalleled attraction in Europe, expecting to receive more than 225,000 people, and is expecting to attract customers from Barcelona.
The water park in Lloret de Mar opened the new attraction that has a slide with a double vertical wall, unique in Europe, built by ProSlide Technology, a water attractions company.
The Water World director, Julià López-Arenas, expects that Tornado King will attract more people from Barcelona to come. "We think that there are people who can drive an hour, come to Water World, and go home," he said.
The park foresees a 50% slip between the national and international audiences, with people primarily coming from France, England, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Water world, since its foundation, registered 80% of international visitors, but by 2020 the national audience grew 30% and today it counts up to 40%.
At the same time, the park expanded its VIP zones, incorporated a Fast Pass system, and renewed the Rafting River with music and lights.
The water park is one of the largest in Europe, with 35 attractions and a daily capacity of 6,000 visitors.
The park closed 2024 with a record turnover of €11.3 million, 20% more than the previous year, and it expects to reach €12.6 million this season.
