The Nits Occident Festival announced last week the first headliners for its 2026 edition, which will take place in June and July next year at the Jardins del Palau de Pedralbes in Barcelona.

The festival will be headlined by Sting, the singer and bassist of iconic band The Police, who returns to Barcelona for the first time since his last visit nine years ago.

The concert will be part of his new 'Sting 3.0' tour, which has been recorded for an album that revisits his greatest hits, both from his solo career and with The Police.

Sting will be accompanied by Dominic Miller on guitar and Chris Maas on drums.

The concert will take place on July 7, with tickets going on sale on December 15 at 10 am via the festival’s official website.

Additional highlights include Italian operatic pop trio Il Volo and Mexican singer Silvana Estrada, one of the leading voices in contemporary Latin American songwriting.

Among the Spanish artists confirmed are Rosario, Vanesa Martín, Taburete, and Las Migas, who recently won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Flamenco Album for Flamencas.

The festival will announce the rest of the lineup in the coming months.
