Six original Berlin Wall sections to be exhibited in Barcelona
The blocks, each over three meters tall, have already arrived at Poblenou's Espai Inmersa from Paris

Six original sections of the Berlin Wall will go on display in Barcelona as part of a new exhibition at Espai Immersa in Poblenou.
The exhibition, titled 'Berlin Wall. A Divided World,' features more than 200 original artefacts from the Cold War period.
The six blocks, each measuring 3.6 metres in height and weighing between 2.5 and 3 tonnes, have already arrived in Barcelona after being transported by road from Paris, where the exhibition was last held.

Through personal stories, the exhibition explores the ideological, political and social conflicts that shaped the Cold War era.
It traces four key periods, from the origins of the conflict and Berlin’s transformation into a divided microcosm, to the human stories and shifting mindsets that culminated in the wall's fall in 1989.
Paula Vitores, marketing manager at Proactiv Entertainment, said that it is the human stories which make the exhibition "unique."

"An event as significant as this one is often remembered for its political dimension, but it was much more than that. Hundreds of thousands of families were divided for many years," she said.
Vitores highlighted the story of a boy who lost his teddy bear while escaping from East to West Berlin, and later recovered it after the Wall came down.
The exhibition opens on November 7, and tickets are already on sale.
