Singin' in the Rain and Barbie soon on Catalan streaming platform Filmin
75 classics and new releases available from October 1 thanks to deal with Warner Bros
Cinephiles are in for a treat as Hollywood classics such as Singin' in the Rain and new box office hits such as Barbie will soon be available on streaming platform Filmin.
Filmin, Barcelona-based "art-house Netflix," reached an agreement with Warner Bros allowing the platform to offer its subscribers 75 classics and new releases.
Aside from the Gene Kelly masterpiece, subscribers will also be able to watch old-school gems including Ninotchka starring Greta Garbo, The Big Sleep with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, or Around the World in 80 Days featuring Cantinflas and Shirley MacLaine.
The platform, while known for showcasing independent films, also has streaming agreements with major film studios Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Studio Canal, and Paramount Pictures.
Subscriptions start at €7.99/month or €84/year.
