American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter brought her "cheeky and playful" show to Primavera Sound's second major night on Friday.

"We love Charli XCX, and Chappell Roan, but Sabrina Carpenter is our favorite," Amy from London, traveling for the first time to Primavera with Kaitlyn from Manchester, told Catalan News.

For them, Primavera is "so massive, so lovely, so large, and so much fun. It is better than the British music festivals," they both added, especially for the weather.

While Charli XCX and Troye Sivan were the most anticipated artists on Thursday night, Sabrina was the one to see on Friday. It was clear to everyone walking around the venue at Parc del Fòrum, as opposed to the many green-colored clothes on Thursday, pink took over.

Valeria, Dima, and Sasha, who were visiting from Belarus, were some of them. They wore pink cowboy hats and pink dresses. Dima even painted her hair pink.

"She is Sabrina, she is so lovely, and she represents everything I love," the three agreed.

They love Sabrina just because of "girl power!"

She sang some of her hits, starting with 'Busy Woman, followed by 'Taste,' and continued with 'because I liked a boy,' 'Please Please Please,' to name a few. Just to delight fans attending Primavera Sound with a blast at the end of her show with 'Espresso.'

During her show, she continuously interacted with the public even speaking some Spanish and, once, in Catalan when the crowd told her to say 'T'estimo' after she had said 'Te amo.' She even asked, what she had said and repeated "I love London?" "Well guys, you understood what I said," she said.

Hours before Sabrina performed at the Revolut stage at Primavera Sound at midnight, Urika and Cam, from Mexico and New York, respectively, said they preferred Charli XCX. After playing in the US last fall, she performed in front of thousands with Troye Sivan on their 'The Sweat Tour' for the first time in Europe.

Meanwhile, "Sabrina is sweet, is also very unapologetically by herself, and she is also very cheeky and playful," both agreed.

"All three major headliners (Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan) are very unapologetically by themselves," Cam added.

Yoasobi, Wolf Alice, Florence Sinclair

While Sabrina Carpenter was the most anticipated artist, there were also many singing and dancing to the rhythm of the Japanese group Yoasobi at the Revolut stage. A band that had never performed in Europe before.

After Yoasobi, it was the turn for the London-based rock band Wolf Alice, first formed by Ellie Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie.

Rowsell sang some of their hits, such as Formidable Cool, The Sofa, Silk, and Giant Peach, around 8:00 p.m. with a low sun at the Estrella Damm stage.

The afternoon however, started with Feeble Little Horse and her show featuring 'Sweet,' 'Dog song,' and 'steamroller.'

The, at the time, four-person band played for the first time at Primavera Sound. They performed after winning the Mercury Prize to Best British album for 'Visions of live' in 2017 and their latest album 'Blue weekend,' published in 2021. The band is now preparing their fans ahead of the next release, 'The clearing,' expected for August 29.

And while the main stages see thousands dancing, there were hundreds more following Florence Sinclair at the Schwarzkopf stage and Zaho de Sagazan at the Cupra stage.

Zaho de Sagazan mixed her unique French indie style with electronic music with songs such as 'Aspiration,' 'Tristesse,' 'Old Friend,' and put an end to her show that started with just hundreds of spectators and ended with thousands dancing with a version of David Bowie's famous 'Modern Love.'
