Catalan star Rosalía has won the Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album at the 2020 Grammy awards for her release ‘El Mal Querer.’

The flamenco pop star redefining R&B was celebrated for her acclaimed album that features the singles ‘Malamente’, ‘Pienso en tu mirá,’ and ‘Bagdad’ in a ceremony at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

“It's such an honor to receive this award,” the singer said upon picking up the award.

The Sant Esteve Sesrovires native beat out competition from Bad Dunny, J Balvin & Bad Bunny, Flor De Toloache, and more to pick up the honor.

As well as picking up the prize, Rosalía performed one of her latest singles, ‘Juro Que,’ to the crowd.

Ahead of her show, American singer Alicia Keys introduced Rosalía as the “Spanish sensation waking up the world,” and the Catalan star sang one of her latest hits wearing a white fringed bodysuit and tall platform sneakers.

Rosalía studied at the Catalonia College of Music, located in L’Auditori.
