Pet Shop Boys, Kasabian and The Kooks added to Cruïlla 2024 lineup
María Becerra, Olga Tañón, Aurora, Calexico, and Delaporte also announced for July 10-13 in Barcelona
Pet Shop Boys, Kasabian, The Kooks, María Becerra, Olga Tañón and Chucho Valdés:Irakere 50 will perform at Cruïlla Festival 2024, to be held from July 10 to 13 at Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum.
Other names announced by the festival on Wednesday include Aurora, Calexico, Delaporte, Ginestà, 31 Fam and Ladilla Rusa.
They join artists previously announced such as the Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne, Amaral, Trueno, Funzo & Baby Loud, Shinova, Seeed's Peter Fox, Albert Pla, Figa Flawas, Oques Grasses and The Tyets.
Cruïlla director Jordi Herreruela highlighted the "diversity" of this year's festival, adding that it was a reflection of the city itself.
Unveiling this year's full lineup, Herreruela explained that the festival, despite having "an international calling," is committed to local audiences attending.
He said it was important that they had "limited their growth" in terms of capacity, to "guarantee comfort" and reaffirm their commitment to sustainability.
The festival will start on Wednesday, July 10, with a night aimed at a younger audience and a focus on urban music.
The second night of the festival will combine Latin rhythms and rumba, before pop-rock and indie take over on Friday, headlined by Canada's Avril Lavigne.
Saturday's eclectic lineup will come to a climax with legendary duo the Pet Shop Boys bringing their greatest hits tour 'Dreamworld' to Barcelona.
Tickets for the festival are available on the Cruïlla website, with prices ranging from €35 or €72 for single day tickets, €125 for weekend passes, or €145 for the full four-day festival experience.
