The circus is coming back to town when this year’s International Circus Festival Gold Elephant returns to Girona for the 12th time between February 22 and 28, 2024.

A “record” 81 artists from 16 different countries will participate in the 2024 edition of the festival.

Most of the invited artists come from Russia, China, and Ukraine, but there will also be artists from Vietnam, USA, Chile, and Australia, among others.

The artists will perform 24 never-before-seen attractions in front of more than 2,000 spectators each day, as well as an international jury made up of circus directors and experts.

New acts included

This year’s program includes many group performances such as a group of 30 jugglers from China, a group of 14 flying trapeze artists from Chile, and acrobats from Yakutia.

Other circus disciplines such as clowning, magic, equilibristics, floor, and aerial acrobatics will also be featured.

The festival will also feature new disciplines such as giant vase juggling and swinging stick acrobatics.

16,000 tickets already sold

In two months, the festival has already sold 16,000 tickets for the shows, and organizers expect to sell another 2,000 before the festival begins.

Prices range from €11 to €95. The festival coincides with Spectator’s Day on February 26, which means that all tickets for that day's show will be sold for €18, with a few exceptions.
