Figure marks a 64% increase compared to last year

Three out of four video games developed in Catalonia are now available in Catalan, according to the latest edition of the White Book of the Catalan Video Game Industry.
The figure, confirmed by the Department of Culture on Thursday, marks a 64% increase compared to last year.
The announcement was made during the presentation of the fourth edition of the SAGA gaming fair.
The event will take place from November 28 to 30 at La Farga in L’Hospitalet, spanning 8,000 square meters dedicated to gaming.

This year’s edition will feature competitions with top League of Legends teams playing in Catalan, as well as a LAN Party where 250 participants will game continuously for 56 hours.
Organizers aim to host official international tournaments to attract players from across Europe.
The fair will offer more than 100 gaming stations, ensuring that visitors of all skill levels can participate.
As in previous years, the event will also include a large exhibition area with booths from game developers, educational institutions, player associations, and esports clubs.
The festival further aims to promote the recognition of Catalan in the official gaming circuit and to increase visibility for content creation in the Catalan language.
