New works from Nicolas Winding, Hanna Bergholm and Léa Mysius announced for Sitges film festival
59th edition of fantasy & horror fest to focus on 15th anniversary of 'Carrie' and ' Who Can Kill a Child'
The 2026 Sitges Fantasy & Horror Film Festival will show new works from directors like Nicolas Winding, Hanna Bergholm and Léa Mysius.
The festival will also be welcoming Yeon Sang-ho, Adrian Chiarella, Lotfy Nathan and Takashi Shimizu.
The 59th edition of the fantasy film festival will be held from October 8-18 later this year.
The festival will focus on the 15th anniversary of the iconic films 'Carrie' and 'Who Can Kill a Child'.
The 11 day event will also highlight classics such as 'Scanners', 'The Devils', 'Thesis', and 'King Kong'.
This year will also feature significant female presence leading several of the productions.
The festival is anticipating high participation with nearly 3,800 titles received between feature films and short films from around the world.
