She started her journey at the former SonarXS, and Nathy Peluso led the big night of the 2025 Sónar electronic music festival in Barcelona.

The Argentinian artist brought one of the most powerful live shows in current times to the Sónar by Night edition in the Catalan capital, which took place at the Fira de Gran Via exhibition halls.

Peluso took the stage to present her latest album 'GRASA,' mixing genres such as hip-hop, salsa, and traditional Mexican music (ranchera) with tropical vibes. She performed in front of thousands at the SonarClub stage some of her newest hits, such as 'Corleone,' 'Erotika,' and 'Envidia,' but the most memorable moments were the covers of Camilo Sesto's 'Vivir así es morir de amor,' or 'Ateo,' a cover by C. Tangana, or 'Buenos Aires.'

She is well known internationally and reached the top with her 2020 album 'Calambre,' which won the Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Album.

Her 1:15h performance was one of the first shows of the last night of the Sónar 2025 edition, after dirtilarita, another Argentinian based in Barcelona, opened doors at 9pm.  She debuted at Sónar by Night 2025 after taking over the city's FUEGO party as resident DJ.

The thing is that Nathy Peluso made history at Sónar and not only performed once, but twice.

A special appearance at the SonarCar x Boiler Room stage as the only time she performed as DJ Club Grasa, honoring her album. She played back-to-back Chris Collins and Afri K, both residents at the Zsongo Club, Spain’s finest event series dedicated to amapiano and afro house.

Historic back-to-backs

But Nathy Peluso's was not the only unique back-to-back at Sónar by Night on Saturday. There were three "historic" performances at the same venue. However, before talking about that, it was DJ Eric Prydz's time to shine.

The Swedish artist is internationally known for his unique progressive house sets and returned to Sónar after performing in 2023. Prydz took over the SonarClub a few hours after Peluso with a new laser show in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Two years ago, he presented his Holo show, and he has been working on brand new visuals and lighting for months for the show that featured melodic, progressive, and epic.

Three "historic" back-to-back performances also mark the 2025 edition of the Sónar music festival. Armin van Buuren is performing with Spanish star Indira Paganotto, the new face of psy-techno. Both are taking the SonarClub stage from 3:40 am to 5:10 am.

US DJ and singer Skrillex , known for Bangarang, and British techno producer Blawan are also performing on Saturday at Sónar by Night between 3am and 5am on the SonarPub stage.

And the last one is the legend Ultra Naté back-to-back with New York's Dee Diggs from 5:05am to 7am at SónarPub. Just as soon as Skrillex and Blawan finish their set.

Sónar ended its 2025 edition with a new record of visitors despite many calling for a boycott due to the partial ownership of Superstruct Entertainment, owner of Sónar, by the US investment fund KKR, which has ties to Israel.
