Music festival season 2026 in Barcelona: all you need to know
Primavera Sound, Sónar, Brunch Electronik, and plenty more will make hundreds of thousands of fans bounce this summer

Primavera Sound, Sónar, Brunch Elektronic – it’s festival season once again in Catalonia.
Hundreds of thousands of music fans will once again be thrilled by a wide range of some of the planet’s biggest names in music, from pop, rock, reggaeton, electronic, and everything in between. In total, this season will see around 50 festivals and high-profile concerts take place around the region.
First up is Primavera Sound, kicking off this week, June 3-7, at Parc del Fòrum on the coast of the Catalan capital.
Once again, the festival brings an incredibly eclectic mix of acts to Barcelona, including Doja Cat, The Cure, Addison Rae, my bloody valentine, and plenty more.
The next biggest music festival in Catalonia comes June 18-20 in Fira Gran Via, as Sónar becomes the electronic music capital of the world. The Prodigy, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Joy Orbison, and Goldie taking to the stages, among many others.
Cruïlla is another one of the biggest festivals in the city, also taking place at Parc del Fòrum, from July 8-11. Headline acts this year include Pixies, Suede, Halsey, Faithless, and David Byrne.
For dance music fans, Brunch Electronik Festival brings Jeff Mills, Floating Points, and Eric Prydz to town from August 7-9, while Soundit Festival will put 2manyDjs, Honey Dijon, and Blawan on stages in El Prat’s Parc Nou on July 17-18.
There are also two brand new festivals pitching up in Barcelona this year. Blaumarí Music and Barts Festival, both taking the format of cycles of concerts.
Blaumarí Músic, a ‘boutique’ music and gastronomy festival that will be held in Port Vell of Barcelona from June 10-28, brings international artists such as Kamasi Washington, The Cardigans, Rufus Wainwright, and Nile Rogers to our shores.
Barts will make its debut at Poble Espanyol, taking the place of the now defunct Alma Festival. Belle & Sebastian, Biffy Clyro, and Gipsy Kings will be among the names performing there, between June 28 and July 25.
Other big festivals around Catalonia are Rock Fest in Santa Coloma de Gramenet from July 3-5, where Bad Religion, Cavalera, Napalm Death will perform; Vida in Vilanova i la Geltrú between July 2-4, featuring Saint Etienne, Guitarricadelafuente, and Fatboy Slim; and Canet Rock in Canet de Mar on July 4, Figa Flawas, Buhos, and Maria Jaume will be among the headliners.
On the Costa Brava, the Cap Roig and Porta Ferrada festivals will also delight audiences in style. Bryan Adams, Anastacia, and Mika, headline Cap Roig, a series of concerts taking place from July 3 to August 18; while The Corrs, Rigoberta Bandini, and Snarky Puppy also perform at Porta Ferrada between July 10 and August 18.
