Museums and exhibition centers in Barcelona welcomed almost 3.8 million visitors in 2025, down from 4.75 million in 2024.

Picasso Museum remained the most visited with 1,021,500 people.

Barcelona's cultural manager ICUB said that because of the union between Born and the History Museum, there has been an overall change in the number of visitors.

Data does not include those who enter for free to see the ruins from the balcony at Born, estimated at 765,000.

The most visited exhibitions were both from Picasso Museum, the 'Growing up between two artists, Tribute to Claude Picasso,' with 254,855 visitors. The second one was 'From Montmartre to Montparnasse. Catalan artists in Paris (1889 - 1914)' visited by 209,915 people.

One out of four visitors resided in Barcelona, and Catalan residents, including those based in Barcelona, accounted for 30% of visitors.

Outside of Catalonia, Madrid's residents represent 31% of visitors, followed by Valencia and Andalusia's 13% and 12% respectively.

Europeans represent 55%, followed by those based in the United States (20%). Italians account for 11% and French, 9%.
