Mago Pop to start stadium world tour in 2027, finishing at Spotify Camp Nou
Worldwide-renowned Catalan magician buys rights to 'Mar i Cel' musical

Antonio Díaz, also known as Mago Pop, will start a stadium world tour in 2027 at Madrid's Bernabéu Stadium and finish at Spotify Camp Nou, as announced on Wednesday in Barcelona.
The worldwide-renowned Catalan magician announced his upcoming plans during a press conference at the Victòria Theater, which he has owned since 2019.
The announcement also featured FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, who, after Díaz said he would start his tour at the Real Madrid stadium, appeared on stage to criticize the decision, as Mago Pop is supposedly a Barça fan.
There are still no details about the show or how long the tour will be, but it has been confirmed that it will start in Madrid and finish in Barcelona.
"Doing a magic show in a stadium is an enormous challenge as this has never been done before," he told the Catalan News Agency (ACN).
"We have to prepare a show that can move around 80,000 people in just one night, with the difficulty of mobile phones and that we will be surrounded at all times from all sides," he said before adding that "it will be the best show" he has ever made.
The illusionist will also launch the Broadway World Europe Awards in Barcelona to give visibility to European theater made in the Catalan capital.
"Theater does not have the same relevance as music or cinema, which is why we are promoting these awards at a European level," Díaz said.
The first awards ceremony is scheduled for 2026.
Many international and national stars, such as Helen Hunt, Aaron Paul, Mira Sorvino, David Henrie, Paz Vega, Jon Kortajarena, and Aitana Sánchez Gijón, attended the event.
Mar i Cel
Mago Pop also announced that he has bought the rights to 'Mar i Cel' musical, one of the most famous, if not the most, in Catalan culture.
After bidding farewell on July 13 with its last performance, the show's producing company, Dagoll Dagom, announced that it was negotiating the sale of the show's rights.
"Mar i Cel is part of Catalonia's culture, and as a theater lover, I could not let it go," Díaz said to ACN. He said he left the last performance in tears and that it was necessary to continue with the show.
"It has an incredible quality, nothing to envy Broadway productions, it deserves for people to travel and watch it from all over the world," he added.
The works of Àngel Guimerà inspire the musical, and during the last season, between September and July, it welcomed over 300,000 spectators. Since its premiere in 1988, it has been performed over 1,600 times, and over 1.5 million spectators have attended.
Asked about the day of the return, he said that there are still some years to go before it gets back to the stage.
