'Gaudí Code' opens new Barcelona exhibition space

Exhibition at Espai Imagina seeks to bring architect's unbuilt projects to life

A new exhibition space in Barcelona, Espai Imagina, opened on Monday with "Gaudí Code: The Unprecedented Experience." 

The exhibition invites visitors to explore Antoni Gaudí's creative vision, including buildings the Catalan architect envisioned but never built. Visitors can digitally experience spaces such as the unrealized Hotel Attraction in New York and the Monumental Fountain planned for Barcelona's Plaça Catalunya.

Created in collaboration with leading organizations that manage Gaudí's heritage, the exhibition combines academic research with virtual, augmented and mixed reality alongside large-scale immersive installations. It runs through January 31, 2027.

Espai Imagina is a new cultural space from the Barcelona-based Mediapro Group.
