Firework sales expected to increase by 5% and bring in €20 million
By Sant Joan sales are set to increase with an introduction of noise sensitive kits

The Association of Pyrotechnics Manufacturers and Wholesalers of Catalonia (AFIMAC) expects sales to increase by 5% this Sant Joan with an inflow of over €20 million.
With the damp forests due to recent rain, the AFIMAC is projecting a busy season for fireworks.
Sales are starting strong, and as it gets closer and closer to the Tuesday of Sant Joan’s Eve, sales will pick up, as people purchase more closer to the date.
It is projected that families will spend between €30 and €50 on fireworks, although there have been cases of customers who spend large amounts on packs.
New this year is a kit for people sensitive to noise, which has been developed in collaboration with the Mira'm Foundation, from the Valencian Community.
The kit was initially designed for people on the autism spectrum so they could continue to enjoy the fireworks, but it is a good solution for those who don't like loud noises anyway.
The kit includes ear plugs, glasses and sensory chews to help people enjoy the evening of Sant Joan, where fireworks are unavoidable.
Along with the kits, companies, like La Traca, have begun promoting rockets without noise, just a lot of color, or firework fountains with more focus on light than sound.
