Catalonia’s street theater festival, FiraTàrrega, will show off the best of Catalan creativity at the Santiago OFF Festival, in Santiago de Chile, from January 19 to 24. FiraTàrrega has signed an agreement to take part in the international festival, offering a particular vision of contemporary street art with four proposals: 'urGENTestimar' by Ada Vilaró, 'Náufragos' by La Industrial Teatrera, 'Harinera (te ganarás el pan con el sudor de tu frente)' from the Harinera collective and Joan Català’s 'Pelat'.

The agreement gives FiraTàrrega its own signature space within the international festival, thereby allowing it to reach a wider range of professionals in the sector. The Institut Ramon Llull, the organization that promotes Catalan culture abroad, and the Catalan government’s culture department were also both involved in reaching agreement.

‘Pelat’ is multidisciplinary artist Joan Català’s first solo project, based on observation and introspection, which brings together four strangers who come together to work on a single objective. 'Náufragos', meanwhile, is an outdoor clown show that focuses on the ups-and-downs, both large and small, of everyday life. 'Harinera (te ganarás el pan con el sudor de tu frente)' reflects on collective and individual responsibility when faced with situations of change. Finally, with 'urGENTestimar' artist Ada Vilaró aims to break down barriers in a shared experience that includes public participation.
