Dancing and discovery through more than 200 shows and projects at Sónar 2025
Electronic music festival cements status as world leader with nearly 150 premieres, co-productions, and exclusives

Sónar returns next June 12-14 for another festival packed with exciting, one-of-a-kind shows, combining music and science to spark dancing and discovery.
The electronic music festival has once again cemented its status as a world leader with an offering of more than 200 shows, events, and projects, presented in collaboration with leading artistic, scientific, and technological institutions, including nearly 150 premieres, unique co-productions, and exclusive performances.
The agenda-settling lineup has no end to the list of headliners, traversing across a multitude of genres, sounds, and sonic and visual universes.
One of the most exciting acts coming to Barcelona this year will undoubtedly be Nathy Peluso, who will perform not once, but twice. One of the Argentine artist’s shows will be based on her latest album, Grasa, and another showcasing her more electronic side in Club Grasa.
The festival also features large-scale audiovisual productions by renowned international artists, such as Peggy Gou, BICEP, Overmono, Eric Prydz, Max Cooper, and Daito Manabe.
Sónar’s selection of talents offers fans a wide variety of styles and genres to enjoy and discover, with international dancefloor masters bringing an eclectic mix to the festival this year, from Four Tet, Honey Dijon, Helena Hauff, Barry Can’t Swim, Jayda G, and many more.
This year features an extraordinary lineup of b2b shows. Skrillex b2b Blawan bring their sunny techno to Catalonia, Dee Diggs b2b Ultra Naté will deliver non-stop dance classics, while legends of techno Armin van Buuren b2b and Indira Paganotto will be teaming up for a special performance.
Standout names from the local and national scene include Paül Refree + Niño de Elche presenting cru+es, while Maria Arnal presents her groundbreaking new show Ama, the culmination of years of research by the artist into artificial intelligence and the human voice. Also featured this year are Mushka, Alizzz, and Tarta Relena.
Sónar by Day 2026 venue change
2025 is also the last year that Sónar by Day will be held in Montjuïc.
The plan is for the 2026 edition to be reimagined at the Fira Gran Via venue, where Sónar by Night is held.
Festival organizers are so far coy about offering details of how that will look, but are confident of delivering another strong daytime festival in the new venue.
Sónar Week
From Thursday, June 10 to Sunday, June 15, Sónar Week will transform Barcelona into a global epicenter of music, innovation, and creativity.
Collaborations with leading cultural and music institutions of the city will be central to this.
Among the highlights are the +RAIN Film Festival, Europe's first festival dedicated to AI-generated cinema, held at the Poblenou Campus of UPF and the CCCB Auditorium; the group exhibition 'The Art of Navigating: How to Get Lost in a World of Images' by Foto Colectania; and the SonarMies series at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, which will become and R&D lab with 'Sensitive Interface', a project focused on accessibility and improving the festival experience for attendees.
Sónar+D
Sónar+D 2025, the festival's congress on creative technologies and digital culture, explores the new horizons of creativity and the arts in the age of omnipresent Al.
The event features interactive forums, roundtables, masterclasses, performative conferences, presentations, and workshops, as well as dozens of exhibits by artists, technologists, scientists, visionaries, and radical thinkers in audiovisual art, music, engineering, quantum computing, and interface design.
This year, the congress program is organized around three thematic pillars: Al + Creativity: presenting innovative tools and alternative approaches to artificial intelligence in artistic production. Imagining the Future of Creative Industries: reflecting on the changes and opportunities facing the sector. Worlds to Come: exploring emerging scenarios that will define the relationship between technology, culture, and society in the future.
