Cruïlla Festival returns with Garbage, Suede, and Pixies

The 2026 Cruïlla festival kicked off Wednesday, starting a weekend of "fantastic" music.   

From July 8 to 11, Cruïlla brings music, dance, fashion and culture to Barcelona. 

In Parc del Fòrum, Wednesday and Thursday's shows featured a diverse range of artists for audiences to enjoy. 

"Wednesdays are more geared toward younger people," commented Jordi Bonet and Maria Martínez, six-year veterans of the festival.

The night featured international performers including Halsey and Reneé Rapp, as well as Spanish artists like Sen Senra. 

Thursday night reignited the 90s bringing on artists like Garbage, Pixies and Suede, Garbage coming back from a two year hiatus from performing and Pixies celebrating their 40-year career. 

Friday night is set to spotlight international performers like David Byrne, The Black Crowes, and Bomba Estèreo. The night also features Spanish artists Zahara Rave and Parquesvr, as well as Catalan artist Alizzz. 

Saturday continues with hit artists such as Faithless, The Hives, Rigoberta Bandini, Two Door Cinema Club, Jovanotti and Jon Batiste. 

Jordi Herreruela, the Director of Cruïlla, told the Catalan News Agency (ACN) that Cruïlla "features major international artists, but also an enormous representation of local artists. We like to explain that Cruïlla is much more than just music – that there's comedy, art, fashion, and dance."
