British rock band Coldplay will perform three, not two, shows in Barcelona next May "due to the incredible demand" for tickets.
Lead singer Chris Martin's group will be playing at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium on May 24, 25 and 27, 2023, as was announced by Live Nation in an Instagram post Wednesday afternoon.

These are the only concerts the band has announced in Spain ahead of performances in other European countries as part of its Music of the Spheres World Tour.
Although tickets for all three shows will officially go on sale at Livenation.es and Ticketmaster.es on Thursday at 10 am, many people were unsuccessful in their attempts to pre-order them for the first two on Wednesday.
Coldplay last played in Barcelona - also at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium - in 2016.
