The Catalan video game studio Hexworks, part of the CI Games family, will release 'Lords of the Fallen' on October 13, a new version of the original 2014 game of the same name.

The game explores a world where various gods fight each other with the goal of dominating humanity.

The new game is "more realistic" and aims for "greater immersion," the head of Hexworks studio, Saul Gascon, told the Catalan News Agency (ACN).

To do this, it incorporates a new world called Umbral, the realm of the dead, overlaid on Axiom, the realm of the living.

The game features a real-time combat system and has three different possible endings.

Hexworks plan to stay in Barcelona and develop more action role-playing games in the future. The company employs over 80 people, of which more than 30 work in Barcelona, according to Gascon.

'Lords of the Fallen 2' is on sale from October 13 and will be available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
