Catalan music groups toast Mediterranean summer culture with 'No és Miami'
Both groups celebrate the Mediterranean, remembering to appreciate it from the inside

Catalan music groups "Buhos" and "Els Catarres" have released their new summer song 'No és Miami' (It's Not Miami) on Friday. The song celebrates the charm of Mediterranean culture and "our homeland," according to a joint statement from both bands.
"Nowadays, many young people look up to foreign cultural references," says Guillem Solé, lead singer of the group Buhos. "But it's important to remember that millions dream of spending the summer in Mallorca, Calafell, Sitges, or the Costa Brava," he adds.
"We live in a privileged country," Èric Vergés, lead singer of Els Catarres adds.
"The reality is that when foreigners discover the Mediterranean Sea, they never want to leave. The climate, the food, the landscapes, the culture, the character of the people, and a way of life that, although admired worldwide, is sometimes hard to appreciate from the inside," he adds.
The song features a special collaboration with Henry Mendez, a singer from Santo Domingo known for hits like 'El Tiburón,' who years ago made the Catalan coast his home.
