Catalan literature to be honoured at 2027 Turin International Book Fair

Catalan literature will be the guest of honour at the 2027 Turin International Book Fair, a leading literary event in Europe.

The 2027 edition will take place May 13-17. 

The event held its first edition in 1988 and is one of the biggest events in the European publishing sector and the most important in Italy.

The literature guest of honour is given a special stand in the fair of about 150m2 with a stage where conferences, book presentations, and signings are offered, as well as a bookstore with titles translated into Italian and in the original language.

In the last edition, more than 230,000 visitors came to the literature fair, which also had around a thousand exhibitors and 2,500 activities.

Each year around 15-20 authors also take part in events both at the Fair and outside the official organization.

Complementary cultural activities will also be held in the city of Turin, outside the fair, and not only linked to the book sector.
