Bridge District Festival, the music and arts festival initially organized for October 18-19, has been cancelled

In a short statement on social media, organizers Bridge 48 announced they made the decision with "deep sadness."

"This decision was made due to various circumstances that prevented us from carrying out the event as planned," the statement read.

Organizers did not clarify what the various circumstances in question were, but told Catalan News that the event was cancelled for reasons beyond their control

All purchased tickets will be automatically refunded within 48 hours.

More than 70 artists, ranging from major international names to local emerging talent, had been scheduled to play at the two-day festival in LaMercedes.

The Martínez Brothers, Dubfire, Len Faki, Pan-Pot, Davide Squillace, Mano Le Tough, and Mathew Jonson were some of the names scheduled to perform.
