Barcelona’s Gastronomic Forum, a trade show in the Catalan capital for professionals to learn about the latest developments in cuisine, is expecting its 'biggest edition ever' later this year.

More than 350 exhibitors are expected to attend, a 20% increase on last year’s edition in which 300 businesses took part and 16,000 professionals attended.

Over 80% of the surface has already been reserved six months in advance by exhibitors such as food service businesses and local wine producers.

After the cancellation of what was meant to be the second edition in 2020 due to the pandemic, and the highly-attended 2021 and 2022 editions, the Barcelona Gastronòmic Forum organizers aim to reassert the city's position as a capital of gastronomy.

The 2023 edition will focus on biodiversity in the kitchen and have a new space, the FòrumBar, that will host specific activities and exhibitions on cocktails and alcoholic beverages.

It will take place in the Fira Montjuïc conference hall from November 6 to 8.
