Police leadership during 2017 referendum acquitted in Spain's National Court

Spain's National Court has acquitted Josep Lluís Trapero as well as three other members of the Catalan police leadership during the 2017 independence referendum. Prosecutors accused them of acting too leniently on the day of the vote, but the former chief of police said he did all he could to follow Spanish court orders
