With the total standing at over 74,000 cases, Catalonia enforced the compulsory use of face masks today. </span><span>With 200,000 people under lockdown in a western county, authorities are considering tougher measures if numbers continue to rise</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Spain&rsquo;s National Court has sent three suspects to trial for allegedly being part of the terrorist cell that killed 16 people in Barcelona and Cambrils in August 2017. They&rsquo;re accused of terrorism, but not murder, as the court says they have no direct link with the fatal attacks.</span></p> <p><span><span id="docs-internal-guid-581cbe0a-7fff-e71b-1628-5cadec544d5c"><span>Next year&rsquo;s Mobile World Congress will avoid all physical contact to fight the spread of the coronavirus, organizers say. After this year&rsquo;s postponement, the next edition of the technology fair is expected to take place in Barcelona from March 1 to 4.</span></span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Barcelona&rsquo;s Vall d&rsquo;Hebron hospital is taking part in a trial to speed up the diagnosis of Covid-19 using artificial intelligence and a CT scan. </span><span>The European Commission has chosen the hospital as one of the 11 centers taking part in this pilot program.</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>The town of Berga does not give up on celebrating its most cherished tradition.&nbsp;</span>The massive Patum festival was canceled this year over coronavirus concerns, but a church in the northern Catalan town is putting over a hundred traditional elements of Patum on display, such as the hawk, in hopes of attracting visitors.</p> / ACN
