Low-cost airline Vueling canceled 19 flights to and from Barcelona on Monday due to the company's ongoing cabin crew strike.

The company plans to operate 87% of flights (128 of 147) scheduled to and from the Catalan capital on Monday, it informed in a press release.

91% of scheduled flights will take off across Spain, while this figure rises to 94% across Europe.

The airline claims that 93% of affected passengers have already been offered alternative flights or means of transport.

Monday was the 13th of industrial action called by the Stavla trade union to demand improved working conditions and wages.

The strike began on November 1 and will end on January 31, taking place on Mondays, Fridays, Sundays, and holidays.

Union members are also set to protest in front of Vueling's new offices in Viladecans, not far from the Barcelona airport, on Thursday.
