Spain's inflation increases to 2.9% in September
Higher fuel and electricity prices pushed index by 0.2 percentage points

Spain's inflation increased to 2.9% in September, according to preliminary data released on Monday morning by the Spanish statistics institute (INE).
Higher fuel and electricity prices prompted the index to increase by 0.2 percentage points compared to last month. In July and August, the figure stood at 2.7%.
The Consumer Price Index (IPC in Catalan language) in September 2024 stood at 1.5%.
The final figure will be released mid-October, with inflation figures for Catalonia.
