Record exports figures for any month of April with 7.7% increase
Sales abroad exceed €8.7bn, while imports rise by 2.6%, up to €9.84bn

Catalan exports increased by 7.7% year-on-year in April, reaching €8.751 billion.
This is the highest sales figures for any month of April ever recorded, with data going back to 1995.
The chemical sector remained the main exporter, with sales worth €2.568 billion euros, 7.7% more year-on-year.
It was followed by capital goods, with €1.423 billion (+4.4%) and automobiles, with €1.215 billion (+11.9%).
The bulk of sales went to the European Union, where they increased by 11.2% compared to 2025 in April.
Imports totaled €9.837 billion, 2.6% more than in April last year.
With these figures, Catalonia's trade balance with abroad stood at €1.086 billion, below the €1.458 billion seen in the same month of 2025.
By country, France remained the main destination for Catalan sales, with €1.353 billion worth of sales, up 4.1% year-on-year.
It was followed by Italy, with €927 million (+31%), Germany, with €861.2 million (+6%), and Portugal, with €612.5 million (+16%).
Counting the year to date, the value of Catalan exports increased by 0.8% compared to the same period in 2025, standing at €33.433 billion.
