New route connects Girona airport with London-Luton

Girona-Costa Brava Airport has launched a new flight route to London-Luton Airport operated by the British airline Jet2. The service will run once a week, every Sunday.

With this new connection, Girona now offers three direct routes to London, highlighting the importance of the UK market for the region.

This route is part of a broader airport expansion. Girona-Costa Brava has 49 destinations scheduled for this season and is operating five new routes. It already offers two more (three, including Jet2's operations) routes between Girona and London.

Jet2 already operates a flight between Girona-Costa Brava and London Stansted.

The new routes look to strengthen the airport’s international network, improving access between northeastern Spain and major European destinations.

To celebrate the opening, the airport welcomed arriving passengers from the UK with a small event that included snacks and a commemorative cake.
