The owner of fashion brand Mango, Isak Andic, has been named as Catalonia's richest person according to the financial magazine Forbes. 

With a fortune of €2.7 billion, Andic leads Víctor Gríiols of the Grifols family's pharmaceutical firm (€2.4 billion), and businesswoman Sol Daurella (€2 billion), president of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, who are ranked as the second and third richest Catalans in the list.

Of the full ranking of all of Spain, they rank 10th, 14th, and 16th respectively. 

Catalonia has a total of 29 names on the list of the top 100 richest Spaniards, more than any other territory in the country. 

There are more Catalans than Madrid natives on the list, but Madrid accumulates more wealth from its names on the list than Catalonia does, with €38.5 billion compared to Catalonia's €26.1 billion.

The Catalan family Suqué Mateu of the Peralada Group are newcomers to the Forbes list, in 71st place, and Albert Esteve of the Esteve pharmaceutical company also makes his first appearance, in 56th place.

Inditex owner Amancio Ortega is the richest in all of Spain with €81.8 billion. In the past year, Ortega has added €28 billion to his fortune.

His daughter, Sandra Ortega, is Spain's second richest person with €7.1 billion, while Rafael del Pino, president of Ferrovial, is third on the list with €5.9 billion.
