Majority shareholder of Codorníu entrusts sale of cava manufacturer
Investment fund Carlyle owns 68% of sparkling wine company, delegating negotiations to Morgan Stanley and Santander Bank

The investment fund, Carlyle, and the majority shareholder of the Raventós Codorníu sparkling wine manufacturer have entrusted Morgan Stanley and Santander Bank with the sale of the cava company.
The US company owns 68% of Raventós Codorníu, the wine and sparkling wine manufacturer, and it delegated the sale negotiations six years after buying shares of the Catalan business.
The operation started in early 2025 and is planned to take advantage of the current business situation after a revenue of €232 million during the last fiscal year.
"The company is currently much more agile, sustainable, and competitive," Sergio Fuster, CEO of Raventós Codorníu, said in a written statement.

"We have professionalized the company's management, diversified our brands, and are much more prepared to face a new phase," Fuster added.
Raventós Codorníu expects to obtain an EBITDA of €50 million in the short term. The operating profit was €39 million last year, the best in a decade.
