International tourists give Catalonia a 9.07 out of 10 rating in 2025

Provinces of Tarragona and Girona post higher satisfaction levels than Barcelona

International tourists who visited Catalonia in 2025 rated their trip a 9.07 out of 10, according to the 'Satisfaction survey for non-resident travellers' carried out by Spain's tourism agency Turespaña through more than 20,000 interviews with non-resident travelers.

The score was slightly below Spain's national average of 9.37, but seven hundredths higher than the previous year's figure.

The percentage of visitors who described themselves as "very satisfied" rose by almost seven points in one year, reaching 65.47%, although still below the Spanish average of 69.5%.

Tarragona recorded the highest share of very satisfied tourists at 73.86%, followed by Girona with 69.76% and Barcelona with 64.69%.

In Tarragona, the share of very satisfied visitors rose by more than 12 points compared to 2024. Girona also saw a strong increase, while Barcelona posted a more moderate rise of 6.5 points.

Across Spain, Galicia received the highest overall rating from international tourists at 9.41, followed by Extremadura and Castile-La Mancha with scores of 9.25.
