Girona-Costa Brava Airport announces 12,000 flights and 2 million seats for summer 2025
Airport serves 49 destinations in 17 countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, and Poland

Girona-Costa Brava Airport heads into the 2025 summer season with a scheduled offering of 2,068,784 seats and 12,085 commercial flights, representing increases of 9.51% and 9.99% respectively compared to last year.
This growth solidifies the airport's role driving economic and social development across the Costa Brava, the Girona Pyrenees, and southern France, as well as reflecting growing diversification in terms of both airlines and markets, according to a press release from airport management company Aena.
The airport, located 90km north of Barcelona serves 49 destinations across 17 countries, with the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, and Poland among the top destinations.
Girona-Costa Brava is launching five new routes this season to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lublin (Poland), Ostrava (Czech Republic), Budapest (Hungary), and London Luton (United Kingdom).
The airport's activity has experienced a significant rebound following the pandemic.
In 2024, it recorded nearly two million passengers and over 24,000 flights, marking growth rates of 25.9% and 19.4%, respectively.
Cumulative data through May 2025 confirms this positive trend, with a 19.2% increase in passengers and a 33.5% rise in flights compared to the same period last year.
