Catalonia attracted €1.105 billion in foreign investment in 2025.

That number is an increase of more than 5% from 2024, and is the highest figure in the historical series

Across the territory, 101 projects by international companies were carried through.

29% of those projects were investments from international companies that did not have any presence in Catalonia prior, and the remaining 71% were expansions or new investments from companies that were already established in the area.

The majority of the projects were industrial, technological, or R&D (77%).

The international investment of the 101 projects led to the creation of 3,980 jobs and the maintenance of 1,728 more.

Between 2021 and 2025, Catalonia attracted €4.267 billion in foreign investments.

This five-year period is 143% higher than the previous five-year block (2015-2020).

The Catalan government has targeted attracting 600 companies from abroad for the 2026-2030 period.

This goal envisions €6 billion arriving to these shores and the creation or keeping of 45,000 jobs.
