Vueling will only operate 116 of the 143 flights the company had scheduled to and from the Barcelona airport on Monday due to the ongoing cabin crew strike.

Called by the Stavla trade union, the three-month strike to demand improved working conditions began in November, taking place on Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays as well as December 6, 8, 24, and 31, and January 5.

Across Spain, the company canceled 18 flights, while 11 flights to and from other European airports were also called off on Monday.

Passengers can look up the status of their flights at https://vuelingnews.com/, where those who are affected by the strike will be able to change flights or request a refund.

Minimum services until at least January 2

The low-cost airline has also "preventively" canceled flights until January 2 in order to provide only the minimum services required by law.

A company representative told the Catalan News Agency (ACN) that all affected passengers have already been informed and offered either alternative flights or a refund.

The strike is expected to end on January 31.
