CaixaBank H1 net profits up 8.5% annually, reaching €3.2bn
Interest margin closes the half year at €5.39 billion and commissions fall to €1.02 billion

CaixaBank has posted net profits of €3.203 billion in the first half of this year, up 8.5% compared to the same period of 2025.
The financial institution published their results on Wednesday to the market regulator, the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
Specifically, in the second quarter of 2026, the group earned €1.631 billion, up 3.8% on the first three months of the year.
The profitability (ROTE) stands at 18%, while the business volume reaches almost €1.2 trillion (+7.8%).
Net interest income rose 2% year-on-year to €5.39 billion in H1 of 2026, while bank fees fell 1.1% to €1.023 billion.
CaixaBank estimates that it will pay an interim dividend of between €961 and €1.281 billion in November from the results of the first half of 2026.
CaixaBank highlights that in the first half of the year it has maintained an "intense pace of business growth, customer acquisition, and payroll," with an improvement in market shares.
The group currently has 20.9 million customers in Spain and Portugal, and a network of 4,500 branches and €693 billion in assets.
